Bruno Bozzetto, born on March 3, 1938, in Milan, is an Italian animator, illustrator, and director.
He is the creator of seven films, including five animated movies, one live-action film, and one that combines different techniques. Additionally, he has produced numerous short films, many of which feature his iconic character, Signor Rossi. Signor Rossi represents the average Italian citizen grappling with the vices of society. Bozzetto’s talent and creativity earned him an Oscar nomination in 1991, solidifying his membership in the esteemed Academy.
