Federico Fellini‘s 1952 Italian romantic comedy film The White Sheik stars Alberto Sordi, Leopoldo Trieste, Brunella Bovo, and Giulietta Masina.
The film is about a guy who accompanies his new bride to Rome for their honeymoon, to meet the Pope, and to present his wife to his family. It was written by Fellini, Tullio Pinelli, Ennio Flaiano, and Michelangelo Antonioni. When the young woman goes away to locate the hero of her romance books, the guy is forced to spend hour after agonizing hour giving explanations to his excited family members who want to meet his absent wife.
