Ossessione (English: Obsession) is a 1943 Italian film based on James M. Cain’s 1934 novel The Postman Always Rings Twice. It is often regarded as Luchino Visconti‘s debut feature film and is widely regarded as the first Italian neorealist film, however, this is debatable.
