Scout leaders across Italy rely on this interactive tune to energize young participants
This is a song used in scout environments as a community song, especially with kids groups during gatherings, where the goal is to encourage joy, togetherness, and lightheartedness. There are regional textual variations because the song has been passed down orally, with local modifications. Typically, this song is used not only for group singing activities, but also for mimed actions during game sessions to motivate participants and create a cheerful, relaxed atmosphere.
Lyrics
Se sei triste
e ti manca l’allegria
scaccia fuori la malinconia
vieni con me, ti insegnerò
la canzone della felicità!
Bom bom bom
Batti le ali
muovi le antenne
dammi le tue zampine
vola di quà
e vola di là
la canzone della felicità!
Se sei triste
e ti manca l’allegria
scaccia fuori la malinconia
vieni con me, ti insegnerò
la canzone della felicità!
Bom bom bom
Batti le ali
muovi le antenne
dammi le tue zampine
vola di quà
e vola di là
la canzone della felicità!
Lyrics
If you are sad
and lacking cheerfulness
chase away your melancholy
come with me, I will teach you
the song of happiness!
Bom bom bom
Flap your wings
move your antennae
give me your little paws
fly here
and fly there
the song of happiness!
If you are sad
and lacking cheerfulness
chase away your melancholy
come with me, I will teach you
the song of happiness!
Bom bom bomFlap your wings
move your antennae
give me your little paws
fly here
and fly there
the song of happiness!
