Viriplaca

| |

Viriplaca was the Roman goddess who “soothes the anger of man”; she was an attribute of Juno, and described her ability to restore peace between husband and wife.

The shrine was located on the Palatine: a woman who felt she had been wronged by her husband would go to the shrine to reveal to the goddess the cause of her grief, and the goddess would prepare her to be reconciled with her husband.
